Day 1

Guests are collected from OR Tambo International Airport or any other pre-arranged address in the area during the early hours of the morning and we head for Pilanesberg National Park. We stop at the Hartbeespoort Dam where guests can buy brunch and stroll through the curio villages. After brunch, we continue our journey and pass Sun City before entering the park and meet the rest of the team at camp and settle in. Tonight the guides will spoil you with a true South African open fire braai.

Guests are awoken by the sound of bird songs!

We enjoy early morning breakfast and set off for your first day in this magnificent transition zone. Your guide will teach you how to look up all the animal and plant species we encounter and convey some interesting facts and beliefs. A stop is made where guests can buy lunch before we return to camp where you’ll have a few hours to relax around the pool. After a cup of fresh coffee and rusks, we set off to one of the many breathtaking viewing points and then a picnic spot for a well-deserved breakfast in the middle of Pilanesberg National Park. Back at camp guests are welcome to buy lunch after which we further our search for the untamed animal life only found here and do so until late afternoon before returning to camp for a night around the campfire.

Day 4

Today we will crisscross the area and ensure we make the best use of our time and show our guests as much of the magnificent animal and bird life as possible. Early afternoon will be spent at one of the various sites appropriate for having a quick sandwich and something to quench the thirst before we make our way back to camp. This afternoon guests can book an open vehicle sunset drive to take photographs of the breath takingAfrican sun disappearing over the horizon.

Day 5

Today we are up well before daybreak, and during breakfast, your guide quickly explains the strategy for finding the species we still have to tick off your list before we further our quest. Today, most of our time will be spent in search of what we haven’t seen yet and tonight stories around the campfire are told by both guests and guides about the past few days and experiences of your guide and his team.

Breakfast and dinner are included

Day 6

Our mission today is to spend some time at a few of the available bird hides and watering holes and view the multitudes of bird, reptile, amphibian and mammal species they attract. Another night drive, just to make sure you get the most of what Pilanesberg has to offer has been arranged and the team prepares a mouth-watering open fire dish to enjoy around the fire while the group exchange numbers and addresses as all newly met groups of friends do.

Cold breakfast and dinner are included

Day 7

After breakfast, we leave the park and head towards the Brits area to visit the Elephant Sanctuary where guests have the opportunity to interact with Africa’s largest. As all good things, our trip also has to come to an end and we have to head back to Johannesburg.
